What is CMS?

CMS or Content Management System is a piece of software specialized for creating web site content, usually by using predefined set of templates

A CMS is like a big electronic filing cabinet that helps people organize and manage their website content. Just like how you might have a physical file cabinet at home with folders for different kinds of papers, a CMS has different sections for things like text, images, and videos.

When someone wants to add new content to their website, like a blog post or a photo gallery, they can use the CMS to create a new "file" and put it in the right place. The CMS makes it easy to update and change things on the website without having to know a lot of technical stuff like coding.

Think of it like this: if your website is a big book, a CMS is like the table of contents that helps you find the right chapter and page. It makes it easier to manage your website and keep everything organized.

Many different CMSs exist, but some of the most popular ones include WordPress, Drupal, and the Optimizely CMS that MDR Solutions specializes in.
